Winning Games the Old-Fashioned Way

We EARN it!

OK, it's the end of June and a lot of things will/could change, but this is one to savor. A good (at least relative to their league) team in town with a reason to win. Schill matches Glavin pitch for pitch. The Mets go up in the sixth and the Sox strike right back with power, good base running and savvy hitting. Then the Sox throw a little leather. Loretta to Youk on a nice play to save a base hit and then Coco chases a shot down in left center (um. . . JD would NOT have had it). Then in the 7th the Sox take the lead for Schill to get the Win, playing a little small ball (further rubbing the Mets face in it). Big P cracks a moon shot to center just to remind the Mets that they are definitely not in the National League any more. Cue the good part of the bullpen. Timmy pitches a solid 8th (with a little help from Coco) and Johnny P comes in to grab the Sox record for rookie closers.

The most wonderful thing about Tiggers, is Tiggers are wonderful things.

Their tops are made out of rubber, their bottoms are made out of springs.

They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy, Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun!

But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers is. . . They couldn't get it done!!
